Bernauer Straße

Bernauer Straße U-Bahn station serves line U8 in Berlin-Mitte and opened on 18 April 1930 as part of the rapid expansion of the Berlin subway network during the Weimar Republic. Its design is characteristic of BVG stations built in that era — tiled walls, clean geometry, and a restrained colour palette — and the station is today a listed architectural monument.
