Bratislava-Engerau

Bratislava-Petržalka station sits on the right bank of the Danube in the Petržalka district and opened in 1897 under Austro-Hungarian rule, when the settlement was still known by its German name Engerau — a name that persisted until 1946. The Gründerzeit-era station was comprehensively modernised in 2001 and today serves as the key stop for rail connections between Vienna and Bratislava. The station is wheelchair-accessible and operated by Slovak national railway ŽSR.
