Brauselay

The Brauselay is a prominent slate rock formation rising steeply from the Moselle riverbank in Cond, a district of Cochem, and lends its name to a designated nature reserve on the same site. From the top of the outcrop, visitors look out over a wide bend of the Moselle and the vineyard slopes that define this stretch of the river valley. Narrow hiking trails lead through the reserve, making it a quiet alternative to the more frequented viewpoints around Cochem — a place where the river landscape can be taken in with little competition for space.
