The Restiturm is the surviving keep of a medieval hilltop fortress above Meiringen in the Bernese Oberland, constructed around the early 14th century. Its nearly square tower footprint — roughly 8.6 by 8.25 metres — is classed as Swiss cultural heritage of regional importance. The fortification likely served to control the Haslital route toward the Brünig Pass, reflecting the medieval power structures of the Canton of Bern. Today the ruin is reached on foot via a hillside trail and rewards visitors with open views across the Haslital valley and the surrounding Alpine landscape.
