Cattedrale di San Pietro Apostolo

The Cattedrale di San Pietro Apostolo is the mother church of the Diocese of Faenza-Modigliana in Emilia-Romagna and holds the title of basilica minor. Construction began in 1474 in the Renaissance style, still legible in the interior's arcaded nave and sequence of side chapels. Designated an Italian national monument, it is the most significant sacred building in Faenza — a city otherwise internationally known for its eponymous tin-glazed ceramic tradition. The cathedral preserves a series of altarpieces and liturgical artworks spanning the 15th to 17th centuries, reflecting the broader artistic heritage of the Emilia-Romagna region.
