Grand Sport Arena of the Petrovsky Sport Complex

Also known as: Petrovsky, Petrovsky Stadion

Saint Petersburg

Historic football stadium from 1925 in Saint Petersburg — longtime home ground of Zenit St. Petersburg.

The Petrovsky Stadium is a historic sports complex in Saint Petersburg that opened in 1925, making it one of the oldest still-active sports venues in Russia. For decades it was the legendary home of football club Zenit St. Petersburg, accommodating around 21,000 spectators. The complex with its characteristic Soviet architectural style includes the football pitch as well as an athletics track and other sports facilities. When Zenit moved to the new Gazprom Arena in 2017, FK Tosno took over the stadium for their home matches. The Petrovsky Stadium today stands as a quiet testament to the city's long football history — a place that shaped generations of fans.
