Ferrara Cathedral Museum

The Ferrara Cathedral Museum occupies the deconsecrated medieval church of San Romano on Via San Romano, steps away from the Cathedral of San Giorgio whose treasures it safeguards. When artworks could no longer be housed or safely displayed inside the cathedral itself, the former church was repurposed as a dedicated exhibition space — a common Italian solution that preserves both the objects and their ecclesiastical context.
