Kościół pw. Przemienienia Pańskiego
Warsaw
Also known as: Inzersdorfer Pfarrkirche hl. Nikolaus
The Pfarrkirche Inzersdorf in Vienna's 23rd district of Liesing was built in 1821 in Neoclassical forms and is dedicated to Saint Nicholas. It replaced earlier medieval buildings and once stood at the center of the independent village of Inzersdorf, only incorporated into Vienna in 1938. The simple hall church with western tower is administered by the Archdiocese of Vienna and is a protected monument. Walking the quiet streets of the old village core, the church makes it clear that this now largely industrial outer district was once an independent market town.
