St. Antonius
CatholicCommunity ChurchNeo-Gothic+2

St. Matthias is a Catholic parish church in Berensberg, a small district of Würselen, built between 1889 and 1890 to designs by Aachen architect Peter Heinrich Peters. The neo-Romanesque brick structure, with its characteristic tower, is a textbook example of late 19th-century ecclesiastical architecture in the Rhineland and has been a listed monument since 1985. It serves the wider parish of Christus unser Friede and is open daily from around 9 am until dusk, offering a quiet space for reflection in an otherwise unremarkable village setting.
