CHIO Brücke

The CHIO-Brücke is a pedestrian bridge completed in 2012 along Krefelder Strasse in Aachen, designed by local architect Josef Hegger. It provides a dedicated crossing for visitors heading to the Tivoli football stadium and the CHIO Aachen equestrian grounds, home to one of the world's premier international horse shows. The bridge's distinctive curved form makes it a recognizable gateway to the venue area, though its open, elevated span has earned a reputation among some pedestrians for feeling surprisingly exposed.
