50-мм противотанковая пушка 5 cm FlaK 41
Volgograd
The 15 cm sFH 18 was the standard heavy field howitzer of the German Wehrmacht from 1935 to 1945, produced by Rheinmetall and Krupp and deployed in vast numbers on the Eastern Front, including during the Battle of Stalingrad in 1942–43. The gun fired 43.5 kg shells at ranges up to 13 kilometres and became one of the most widely used heavy artillery pieces of the war. The example displayed in Volgograd is a surviving artifact from the fighting that reduced the city to rubble and claimed over one million lives. As an open-air exhibit on the ground of the historical battlefield, it offers a concrete, technical perspective on the heavy weaponry that defined the siege.
