Absolute World

The Absolute World complex in Mississauga, Ontario, comprises five condominium towers completed between 2011 and 2012. Its two tallest towers — standing 178 and 151 metres — are defined by an elliptical footprint that rotates slightly with each floor, giving the buildings their organic, hourglass silhouette. This distinctive shape earned them the popular nickname "Marilyn Monroe Towers." The design by Beijing-based MAD Architects won an international competition in 2006 and is widely regarded as one of the most architecturally distinctive residential high-rises in North America of the 2000s. The complex also includes a shopping centre, restaurants, and wellness facilities. Upper floors command sweeping panoramic views across the Greater Toronto Area toward Lake Ontario.
