Achenpass

The Achenpass is a mountain pass at 941 metres in the Bavarian Foothills, situated in the municipality of Kreuth in the Miesbach district of Bavaria. It has historically served as a low-lying connector between the Bavarian Inn valley and the Tegernsee region, making it an important transit route long before modern roads were built. Today the winding pass road is a popular destination for motorcyclists and touring cyclists, while the summit area offers open views across the surrounding pre-Alpine hills. Hiking trails branch off from the top toward the adjacent ridges.
