Botanischer Garten Leipzig
BiodiversityBotanical GardenResearch+6
Founded in 1793 during the Enlightenment's enthusiasm for natural science, the Botanical Garden of the University of Innsbruck has occupied its current site in the Hötting district since 1913. Across roughly two hectares, over 7,000 plant species are cultivated — with particular strength in alpine flora — primarily as a teaching and research collection for the university's Institute of Botany. Entry is free and the garden is fully wheelchair accessible, open until 19:00 in the summer months, making it a quiet urban retreat well off Innsbruck's main tourist circuit.
