Al Hamra Tower
The Al Hamra Tower stands at roughly 413 metres, making it the tallest building in Kuwait and one of the most distinctive skyscrapers on the Arabian Peninsula. Its defining architectural feature is a concave sculptural cut along the southwest face, designed to shield the interior from Kuwait's intense desert sun — a climate-driven decision that gives the tower its unmistakable silhouette. Completed in 2011, the tower's podium houses the Al Hamra Luxury Centre, one of the city's upscale shopping destinations. Upper floors afford sweeping views across Kuwait City, the Arabian Gulf, and the flat desert plain stretching beyond the urban edge.
