Ali Pasha's Mosque

Ali Pasha's Mosque is a 16th-century Ottoman domed mosque in Sarajevo, built in 1561 and named after the Ottoman official Sofu Hadım Ali Pasha. It has been designated a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina, recognizing its place among the city's best-preserved early Ottoman religious buildings. The mosque sits close to the Baščaršija old bazaar district and remains an active place of worship, its interior defined by a simple domed vault and restrained ornamental decoration characteristic of mid-Ottoman Balkan architecture.
