American Protestant Church

The American Protestant Church in The Hague is an unusual church with a world's-fair past. It was designed in 1958 as the United States protestant pavilion at Expo 58 in Brussels; after the fair closed it was dismantled, shipped to The Hague and rebuilt on Esther de Boer-van Rijklaan. The simple timber-and-glass structure is a rare survivor of postwar pavilion architecture and was listed as a Rijksmonument in 2015. Today the building serves the region's English-speaking protestant congregation; Sunday services are open to visitors, while off-hours tours require an appointment.
