Artesonraju

Artesonraju is a roughly 6,000-metre peak in the Cordillera Blanca of the Peruvian Andes, rising between two steep gorges in a near-perfect pyramidal silhouette permanently cloaked in snow and ice. The mountain carries a quiet piece of cinematic history: it is widely regarded as the model for the mountain in the Paramount Pictures logo, one of the most recognized corporate symbols in film history. Despite its fame-by-proxy, the peak has remained largely free of commercial climbing tours, making it a rewarding objective for experienced alpinists willing to navigate crevassed glacier terrain. On clear days the summit offers sweeping views across the snowfields of the Cordillera Blanca, the world's highest tropical mountain range, with more than 700 glaciated peaks above 5,000 metres.
