Becs de Bosson

The Becs de Bosson are a striking twin-summit massif in the Swiss canton of Valais, their silhouette defined by jagged rock towers rising southwest of the village of Grimentz in the Val d'Anniviers. Together with the adjacent Roc d'Orzival, the peak forms the natural divide between the Val d'Anniviers and the Val de Réchy. On its northern flank sits the Lac de Lona, a quiet alpine lake on the plateau of the same name, reachable by trail from the Grimentz ski area. The approach across the Lona plateau winds through classic Valaisian terrain — scree, remnant snowfields, and open views toward the Rhône valley. The rocky summit towers demand alpine experience, making Becs de Bosson a destination for seasoned hikers and ski-tourers rather than casual walkers.
