Congress Center Hamburg

Also known as: Congress Centrum Hamburg, CCH, CCH – Congress Center Hamburg · +1

The CCH Congress Center Hamburg opened on April 14th, 1973 as the first modern congress center in Germany. It lies directly west of Dammtor station on the northern edge of the Planten un Blomen park and, together with the adjacent Hamburg Messe halls, forms a major node of the city's event industry. Some 36,000 square meters of event space host congresses, international conferences, trade fairs and the occasional large concert. After successive renovations and expansions through 2007, the CCH was closed entirely from 2017 to 2021 and underwent a comprehensive overhaul costing around 200 million euros; it reopened in August 2022 in a substantially enlarged form. The CCH is rarely a destination in itself for tourists, but those staying at the adjacent Park Hyatt hotel or strolling through Planten un Blomen will pass its prominent glass facade.
