Deutsche Guggenheim

The Deutsche Guggenheim was a Berlin Kunsthalle, operated from 1997 to 2012 as a joint venture between the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and Deutsche Bank. It occupied the ground floor of the Deutsche Bank headquarters at Unter den Linden 13-15, fitted out by New York architect Richard Gluckman. Four rotating exhibitions a year featured commissioned works by Jeff Koons, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Gerhard Richter and others. After 15 years Deutsche Bank ended the partnership in 2012. The PalaisPopulaire later opened on the same premises as the bank's successor venue. The Deutsche Guggenheim itself no longer exists.
