Frederic Chopin Museum

The Frederic Chopin Museum occupies the Ostrogski Palace in Warsaw, a Baroque palace designed by Tylman van Gameren in the late 17th century at Tamka 41 in the Powisle district. The museum was comprehensively redesigned in 2010 for the composer's 200th birthday and ranks among the most advanced composer museums in Europe. RFID cards drive individual stations with audio samples, manuscripts and personal items including Chopin's last piano. The basement holds a concert hall. The Chopin Centre opposite, above the convent of the Sisters of Charity, complements the visit. For Polish music history, this is the starting point.
