Minoritenplatz

Minoritenplatz is a quiet cobbled square in central Vienna, dominated by the medieval Minoritenkirche. It is ringed by some of the city's finest Baroque palaces, including the Federal Chancellery and Palais Dietrichstein, today housing several ministries. Despite being only steps from the Hofburg, the square is usually empty and counts as a classic local shortcut for a moment of calm away from the tourist flow.
