Aiguille Dibona

The Aiguille Dibona is a 3,131-metre granite spire in the Pelvoux massif of the French Dauphiné Alps, roughly 80 kilometres east of Grenoble. Its compact granite walls have made it one of the most sought-after rock-climbing objectives in the Western Alps, with classic routes drawing alpinists from across Europe. The standard route requires solid mid-grade climbing experience and rewards summiteers with sweeping views across the Écrins National Park and the surrounding three-thousanders. For those without climbing gear, the broader Pelvoux massif is accessible via nearby mountain huts, though the Dibona itself remains the domain of roped alpinists.
