The Aiguille de Bionnassay is a 4,052-metre summit in the Mont Blanc massif of the Savoy Alps, making it one of France's few four-thousanders. Its narrow, heavily corniced summit ridge doubles as the state border between France and Italy — one of the most exposed high-altitude frontiers in the Alps. The peak was first climbed in 1865, during the golden age of alpinism, and remains a technically demanding objective requiring glacier travel and confident ridge movement. It is frequently traversed as part of extended Mont Blanc ascent routes via the Dôme du Goûter. On clear days the summit ridge offers unobstructed views deep into the Western Alps.
