The Alpgundkopf is a 2,177-metre summit in the Allgäuer Alps, situated northeast of the Rossgundkopf and separated from it by the Alpgundscharte saddle. It belongs to the Schafalpenköpfe group near Sonthofen. The small Guggersee alpine lake lies roughly one kilometre to the southeast, making it a natural detour on the approach. The peak is reachable via alpine hiking trails and offers open views across the surrounding Schafalpen ridgeline, with no mountain hut or tourist infrastructure — a quiet objective for hikers seeking solitude above the Allgäu valley.
