Angererkopf

The Angererkopf is a 2,263-metre secondary summit of the Elfer massif in the Allgäu Alps, situated a few kilometres south of Sonthofen. It sits along the main Allgäu ridge and offers broad panoramic views across the Iller valley and the surrounding high peaks toward the Lechtal Alps. The ascent passes through typical Allgäu alpine terrain — dwarf pine thickets and limestone karst — and suits sure-footed hikers. Compared to its higher neighbour, the summit sees relatively little foot traffic, making it a quieter alternative with comparable views.
