Bonn Hauptbahnhof

Bonn Hauptbahnhof was built in 1885 in the Neorenaissance style and is a listed architectural monument in North Rhine-Westphalia, one of the more ornate Gründerzeit-era railway stations along the Rhine. Its richly decorated facade — arched window bays and sculpted detailing — reflects the German Empire's ambition to make railway stations into symbols of civic prestige and industrial confidence. The station serves as the eastern terminus of the Voreifel railway and handles IC, EC, ICE, and night-train services, while the Stadtbahn Bonn operates on multiple lines beneath the main hall. It runs 24 hours a day, is fully wheelchair accessible, and provides free Wi-Fi throughout the building.
