Breitenberg

Breitenberg is a 1,838-metre summit in the Tannheimer Bergen range of the Allgäu Alps, situated in the municipality of Pfronten in the Ostallgäu district of Bavaria, close to the Austrian exclave of Jungholz. The peak offers an unobstructed panorama across the Tannheim group, the broader Allgäu, and on clear days as far as the Zugspitze massif. Several marked hiking routes lead to the top, with the ascent from Pfronten considered well-suited for experienced families. The open, unbuilt summit plateau allows views in all directions without obstruction.
