Bella Tola

Bella Tola is a 3,025-metre summit in the Walliser Alps, positioned between Val d'Anniviers to the west and Turtmanntal to the east. The peak sits precisely on the linguistic boundary dividing French- and German-speaking Valais, giving it an understated cultural significance beyond its altitude. On a clear day the summit panorama takes in a broad sweep of the canton's four-thousanders, including the Weisshorn and the Mischabel group. The standard ascent from the Alpe de Bella Tola is within reach of confident hikers without technical climbing gear, making it a rewarding high-alpine objective away from the busier resorts of the central Valais.
