Continium

The Continium Discovery Center in Kerkrade, just across the Dutch border from Aachen, is an interactive science and industrial heritage museum that opened in 2014. The surrounding region was historically a hub of Rhenish coal mining, and the museum draws on that industrial legacy to explore how scientific and technological developments shape society and daily life. Hands-on exhibits let visitors experiment with natural phenomena and engineering principles, making it a well-suited destination for school groups and families. The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00–17:00, and is fully wheelchair accessible.
