Small bronze fountain from 1902 in Maxvorstadt, work of sculptor Arthur Storch

The Delphinbrunnen stands at the corner of Dachauer Strasse and Augustenstrasse in Munich's Maxvorstadt district and was created in 1902 by the Thuringian sculptor Arthur Storch. The small bronze fountain features several dolphins serving as water spouts – a motif typical of turn-of-the-century sculpture. Storch studied at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts and produced several works for the city's public spaces. The fountain is not a highlight in any travel guide, but it is a charming example of the many small urban artworks that shape Munich's streetscape.
