Lapraka Airfield

Also known as: Fusha e aviacionit Tiranë-Laprakë, Aerodrom Tirana

Lapraka Aerodrome, also called Tirana Aerodrome, was a now-defunct airfield in the northwest of the Albanian capital. It was laid out in the interwar period, when Tirana lacked a modern airport, and served as the city's main flying base into the 1950s - before today's Rinas airport took over. Nothing of the aerodrome itself remains visible in today's Lapraka neighbourhood; the land was built over as the city expanded.
