Le Toûno

Le Toûno is a summit in the Pennine Alps above the village of Saint-Luc in the Val d'Anniviers, canton of Valais, situated just west of the Pointe de Tourtemagne. The Val d'Anniviers is one of the most rugged and least commercialized side valleys of the Rhône, which has kept it comparatively unspoiled. The ascent rewards experienced hikers with open views toward the four-thousanders of the Valais main ridge, including the Weisshorn and Bishorn massifs. Above the treeline the terrain turns rocky and spare, offering a striking contrast to the lush alpine meadows lower in the valley.
