The word 'otag' denotes the grand tent of a nomadic chieftain, and the interior lives up to it: hand-woven Yörük rugs, floor cushions, and walls adorned with goat-hair flags representing historical Turkic states. Visitors can eat sıkma — a traditional flatbread made from village wheat rather than commercial flour — alongside homemade pickles and tea, a combination that draws Yörük descendants who recognize the flavors of a disappearing foodway.
