The Atatürk Museum in Adana occupies a late-Ottoman mansion on the banks of the Seyhan River where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk stayed during his visits to the city. The building is historically tied to Turkey's War of Independence, which in this region followed the devastating Adana massacres of 1909. Every year on March 15th, Atatürk's visit to Adana is officially commemorated at this site. Visitors can walk through rooms with original period furniture, personal effects, and archival documents — though all labels are currently in Turkish only. Admission is free, and a small garden café provides a quiet spot beside the river after the tour.
