Altınini Yeraltı Şehri

Altınini Yeraltı Şehri is an underground city site on the outskirts of Adana, structurally reminiscent of the famous rock-cut cities of Cappadocia but far less documented and essentially inaccessible. Its historical origins — whether ancient refuge, settlement, or something else — remain poorly recorded in available sources. Visitor accounts paint a consistent picture: no signage, no maintained access road, and final approach via narrow, steep, and winding rural tracks. Parts of the surrounding land appear to be fenced off, and the site has not been opened to organised tourism. For those who make the journey regardless, it offers an unmediated encounter with a forgotten place — raw, unmarked, and entirely without visitor infrastructure.
