Morzin Palace

Morzin Palace stands as one of the most significant Baroque palaces on Prague's Malá Strana, built in 1713 for the Bohemian aristocratic Morzin family. Its street facade on Nerudova ulice is crowned by monumental Atlas figures carved in stone, appearing to support the entablature — a hallmark of the Bohemian Baroque sculptural tradition. The palace has served as the Romanian Embassy in the Czech Republic since the 20th century and is not open to the public. Listed as a Czech cultural monument, it rewards a close look from the cobblestoned lane, embedded within the remarkably intact ensemble of noble palaces that defines the Malá Strana quarter.
