Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz

Also known as: Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz, Forum Hotel Berlin, Hotel Stadt Berlin · +2

The Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz is, at 125 metres, the second-tallest building in Berlin and the most prominent hotel on Alexanderplatz. It was built between 1967 and 1970 by the Roland Korn collective as the Hotel Stadt Berlin in the socialist modernist style, opening as the GDR's first hotel paid for in Western hard currency. The original silver metal facade was replaced with a glass curtain wall between 2005 and 2007, smoothing its appearance considerably. The roof carries an open observation deck and cocktail bar with views of Alexanderplatz, the Fernsehturm and the Nikolaiviertel from 120 metres up; until 2024 operators even offered base-flying jumps from the platform. With 1011 rooms it ranks among the largest hotels in Germany.
