San Carlo

The Oratorio di San Carlo is a Baroque prayer hall housed within the church of San Carlo al Porto on Via del Porto in central Bologna. Built around 1650, it is listed as an Italian national monument and represents a restrained example of 17th-century sacred interior design in the Emilia-Romagna tradition, with stucco decoration and an intimate acoustic space designed for devotional use.
