Avanos kalesi

Avanos Kalesi is a hilltop viewpoint at the end of Poets Street (Şairler Sokağı) on the edge of Avanos, a pottery town near Göreme in Cappadocia. The summit — locally called Bayram Tepesi — offers an open panorama over the rooftops of Avanos and the winding Kızılırmak River, Turkey's longest river, whose red-clay sediment has sustained the town's ceramic tradition for millennia. The climb is short but fully exposed, with no shade — notoriously brutal in summer heat. Coming in the late afternoon rewards visitors with warm light across the river valley below.
