Western terminus of Lisbon's orbital railway line, set in the regenerating Alcântara district.

Alcântara-Terra is the western terminus of the Linha de Cintura, the orbital railway that skirts the edge of Lisbon, and also the end point for suburban trains on the Linha da Azambuja. The station sits in the Alcântara district, once a dense industrial quarter and now one of Lisbon's most energetic creative neighbourhoods, home to the repurposed LX Factory complex just minutes away. Until 2008 a pedestrian bridge linked it to Alcântara-Mar station on the Cascais line a kilometre away; its demolition means passengers must now change on foot or by bus. A functional stop with interesting surroundings.
