Tachikawa Station

Tachikawa Station is a major rail junction in western Tokyo Prefecture, operated by JR East. Opened in 1889 during the Meiji era, it has grown into one of the key transfer points in the greater western Tokyo area, where several JR lines — including the Chūō and Ōme lines — converge. For travelers it primarily serves as a departure hub toward Ōme, Hachiōji, and the broader Kantō hinterland.
