Barryscourt Castle

Barryscourt Castle is a medieval tower house in eastern County Cork, situated close to Carrigtwohill and designated as a National Monument of Ireland. It served as the ancestral stronghold of the Barry family, a Hiberno-Norman dynasty that established itself in Munster from the 12th century onward and remained a significant regional power for several hundred years.
