101 metres tall, 22 storeys, four massive cylinders - Karl Schwanzer BMW headquarters was completed just in time for the 1972 Olympic Games and is considered a key work of architectural modernism. The floors hang from a central shaft - a construction idea that allowed all storeys to be built simultaneously. The adjoining BMW Museum is the "bowl".
