BMW Welt

Also known as: Bmw world

BMW Welt is a delivery and experience center in Munich's Olympiaviertel district, opened on October 20, 2007, to designs by Viennese firm Coop Himmelb(l)au. The building's sweeping double-cone of steel and glass is a textbook example of Deconstructivist architecture, forming a coherent brand campus alongside the adjacent circular BMW Museum and the iconic four-cylinder headquarters tower. Its centerpiece is the daily new-vehicle handover on the ground floor — a deliberately choreographed ritual in which buyers collect their cars in a theatrical setting. Admission is free, rotating exhibitions cover current models, classic vehicles, and BMW motorcycles, and the building stays open until midnight nearly every day of the week.
