Brundageplatz

Brundageplatz is a small square in Munich's Olympiapark named after Avery Brundage, who served as president of the International Olympic Committee during the 1972 Summer Games. Brundage entered the history books when, after the Black September attack on the Israeli team, he insisted that "the Games must go on". Today the square sits on the path network through the Olympic grounds, passed by visitors heading for Frei Otto and Guenter Behnisch's tent roof or the Olympic Tower.
