Colombo Center

Also known as: Colombo Centre, Colombo Shopping

Lisbon

One of the Iberian Peninsula's largest malls in northern Lisbon, with over 340 stores, cinemas, and dining — a practical local landmark.

Centro Colombo, opened in 1997 in the Carnide district of northern Lisbon, is one of the largest shopping centres on the Iberian Peninsula. Its name references Christopher Columbus and touches on Portugal's seafaring history, though the main draw is practical: around 347 stores, cinemas, restaurants, and entertainment facilities spread across an enormous footprint adjacent to the Segunda Circular ring road. The mall is well served by the Lisbon Metro (Colégio Militar/Luz station). More of a local institution than a tourist attraction, Centro Colombo offers a glimpse into everyday Lisbon life away from the historic centre.
