Jubiläumswarte

Also known as: Aussichtswarte

The Jubiläumswarte is a concrete observation tower on the Gallitzinberg hill in Vienna's 16th district of Ottakring, sitting at 449 metres above sea level. An outdoor spiral staircase climbs 31 metres to a viewing platform at 480 metres, offering sweeping vistas over the Vienna city centre, the Wienerwald, and on clear days far into the Alps. The tower is a listed monument and stands on the Vogeltennwiese, a quiet woodland clearing at the western edge of the city. Admission is free and the tower is open daily from April through October until late evening, though access is closed during icy or snowy conditions.
