MVG Museum Munich

Historic trams in a listed depot – Munich's public transport history

The MVG Museum of the Münchner Verkehrsgesellschaft is a public transport museum tracing the history of Munich's local transit from the 19th century to today. In over 5,000 m² inside a listed early-20th-century tram depot, around 25 historic trams, buses and special vehicles are arranged on two original tracks. Interactive elements including a subway simulator in an original 1980s B-car and over 150 display boards make the museum appealing for children and technology enthusiasts alike. The depot building itself is a listed industrial monument worth seeing in its own right.
